Chiropractic care is considered safe when provided by a licensed and trained professional. Research shows that adverse effects are typically mild and temporary, such as short-term soreness, while serious complications are rare. Trauma-informed chiropractors emphasize communication, informed consent, and patient choice throughout care. This means individuals are met at their own comfort level, with options and pacing tailored to support both physical safety and a sense of trust.

We do not work directly with insurances. If your insurance covers out-of-network care, we are happy to provide a superbill that can be sent to your insurance for reimbursement.

The term “trauma-informed” is loosely used in many settings. At Vital Connections, trauma-informed care means creating a space where your safety, comfort, and boundaries come first. It recognizes that past experiences — whether physical, emotional, or medical — can shape how you feel in your body today. Being trauma-informed means moving at your pace, asking for consent every step of the way, and honoring your voice in the process of care.
